Jessica Kaiser

Founder + CEO

A fine arts major with a mastery for closing a deal, Jess single-handedly launched Hawthorn at 25. More than 15 years later, she’s the driver of this big Technicolor bus. A tip: Don’t bet against her once she has made up her mind.

Melissa Wannop

CFO

A former D1 Cornell field hockey player who now redefines “hockey mom” (a mother of three, she plays occasionally), Melissa has zero problem with rolling up her sleeves, working hard, and diving into the details that matter. She has overseen all aspects of Hawthorn’s finances since 2004.

Ben Morse

VP of Sales

Patagonia, Prague, Alaska – Ben loves to travel. And since 2011, he has spun that passion and comfort with charting new territory into leading Hawthorn’s Sales and Account Management teams. It follows years in medical device/pharmaceutical sales.

Ryan Brandt

Content Director

Ryan leads Hawthorn’s content marketing division and digital growth. Before joining Hawthorn in 2006, he wrote for The New York Times, Outside Magazine, and Men’s Journal and spent years in advertising and marketing communications. A self-described “plant,” he thrives in sunlight.

Aimee Skidds

Design Director

Things Aimee goes ga-ga for: nerding out with Salesforce, golden retrievers, and supporting the growth of our creatives. Overseeing our design department, and improving corporate processes since 2005, she pairs operational savvy with a passion for creativity to ensure every project we produce could go behind glass.
