Set in the heart of downtown Portsmouth, NH, The Hawthorn occupies what was once the scald house of the famed Frank Jones Brewery, where workers in the late 1800s used hot stones to sanitize barrels before filling them with ale. Decades later, the red-brick walls, timber beams, and tall industrial windows were restored to house the Hawthorn Creative offices, our agency’s first home. When our team went fully remote, Hawthorn Creative President and CEO Jess Kaiser reimagined the space once more, blending her passion for hospitality with decades of experience in marketing wedding and event venues.
Today, The Hawthorn is a stunning blend of history and modern elegance: a boutique event venue complete with a 64-foot wraparound bar, private host suite, and chef’s prep kitchen.
