What You Will Be Doing:

As a Senior Sales Director, you will be targeting hotels, property management companies, and destination marketing organizations. You’ll discuss marketing needs and develop strategies to help prospects and clients achieve business goals through an effective integrated marketing plan. Utilizing our extensive database, the internet, and other provided sources, you will have the opportunity to build your own book of business within a select business segment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Responsible for sales within the Hawthorn Creative portfolio tailored exclusively to the hospitality and tourism industry.
    2. Demonstrate selling skills and product knowledge that provides a consultative approach for clients and prospects.
    3. Show an in-depth understanding of print and digital marketing tactics such as brand strategy, content marketing, SEO, SEM, retargeting, email marketing and more.
    4. Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
    5. Develop qualified leads and solicit sales through the use of phone calls, email, and face-to-face meetings. Some travel may be required.

 

What You Need for this Position:

  • 5+ years of proven and successful full life cycle sales experience
  • Experience selling digital marketing solutions within an agency environment and/or a background in hospitality marketing is a plus
  • Strong prospecting, funnel management, and forecasting skills
  • Ability to prospect and close on the phone
  • Excellent negotiation skills

Digital Media Manager

Hawthorn Creative is seeking a savvy social and digital media professional. The Digital Media Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring digital, web, and social marketing campaigns for Hawthorn Creative’s clients. This includes strategy, content development, SEO, SEM, creative development, analytics, and reporting. The right candidate will have experience monitoring, managing, and reporting for client social networks and web strategy across the digital ecosystem. Candidates must have strong project and client management experience, with the ability to effectively implement multiple social media programs and campaigns simultaneously, while maintaining program budgets, and managing results and client needs, and also contributing to the larger strategic planning process for client brands.

 

Specific Responsibilities and Duties

The Digital Media Manager will oversee the strategy, execution, and delivery of digital marketing campaigns in support of client business and marketing objectives, including but not limited to:

  • Strategizing and managing organic social media for our clients.
  • Creating and implementing social media guidelines for clients.
  • Managing SEM strategy and reporting.
  • Compiling data across social media platforms to create monthly reports, including analysis for insights, optimizations, and future strategy development.
  • Providing strategic insight to develop long-term execution plans from clients’ stated business objectives and implementing those plans.
  • Displaying organizational capabilities to track progress, execution, and consistency of social advertising campaigns.
  • Effectively presenting strategic and tactical plans to clients and internal teams.
  • Facilitating and managing forecasting, budgeting and pacing, campaign creation, and optimization.
  • Coordinating influencer relationships to elevate brand and meet business objectives as needed.
  • Reporting and writing stories for destination blog sites, one-time digital content projects, and custom magazines.

 

Job Requirements

  • A four-year degree in marketing, communications, media relations, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of four years of social/digital media experience required; five to six years of agency experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem solving skills, with the ability to multitask and pivot as needed.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous project deadlines and timelines.
  • Experience with strategy and maintenance of paid campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google ads.
  • Experience managing paid organic and search campaigns to achieve optimal conversions.
  • Experience compiling regular monthly/quarterly/annual executive digital reports, inclusive of digital media, web, and social analytics. Ability to interpret results and make recommendations.
  • Google certifications a plus.
  • Journalism experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of SEO strategies and implementation a plus.
  • Ability to work in our Portsmouth, New Hampshire office.

This position will  involve data entry, including verifying the accuracy of contact information for potential advertisers using various online resources and entering data into our company database. Graphic Design Intern

We are looking for an intern for 16 hours per week to assist in supporting our design team with various duties including production, image cropping, file management, and photo research. Candidate must have solid technical skills in Photoshop and InDesign as well as a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

This internship is unpaid; however, you will be doing actual work that our designers do currently and not fetching coffee. If you like to work hard and want to learn skills you will actually use in the job force, this is the internship for you.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in or have graduated from an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program in graphic design.
