Event Marketing Sales Representative

We are looking for a professional and well-spoken salesperson who is experienced working in a fast-paced environment, comfortable picking up the phone, and knows how to close!

What you will be doing:

You will be selling our customized event brochure product to hotels and wedding venues in a dedicated region of the United States. This is a sales hunting position and is primarily inside sales. Our event brochures are a unique product in that they are free to the client and paid for by the advertisers found in the back; therefore, you need to be adept at selling the value proposition and closing that business. Utilizing our extensive database, the Internet, and other provided sources, you will have the opportunity to build your own book of business within a select territory.

 

What you need for this position:

  • 3+ years of proven and successful full life cycle sales experience
  • Strong prospecting, funnel management, and forecasting skills
  • Ability to close on the phone
  • Sense of urgency to keep your pipeline full
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoy work-life balance in a team-focused setting
  • Experience using a CRM, ideally Salesforce
  • Experience in the hospitality or tourism industry is a plus
  • Ability to work in our Portsmouth office

 

Compensation is 60% base, 40% commission, and bonus. Hawthorn Creative offers a full benefits package, which includes: medical, dental, vision, FSA, LTD & Life, STD, PTO, and a 401K plan.
