Marketing Manager

Hawthorn Creative is a full-service marketing agency for the hospitality industry. We are hiring a Marketing Strategist to build and execute traditional and inbound marketing campaigns for our brand, as well as for our clients. Brand strategy, messaging, collateral development, email marketing, SEM, social strategy, marketing automation, analytics, and how it all works together to deliver results – if this is the world you live in, read further.

Here’s a snapshot of your job:

  • You’ll interface with our executive team to further develop and unroll our brand strategy.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop content and materials for current and new product launches.
  • Develop communication channels throughout the entire sales and client life cycle.
  • Oversee the execution of our social channels.
  • Work with our content team to establish our edit calendar and fine-tune our content strategy.
  • Live within our marketing automation system to develop, execute, and analyze inbound campaigns.
  • Interface with our SEO and SEM strategists to ensure that campaigns are meeting marketing and business objectives.  
  • Assist the sales team with client marketing strategies and presentations as needed.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience in both traditional and digital marketing including brand strategy and development, social media, email marketing, inbound behavior, and analytics across all online channels.  
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and SEM is necessary, and more advanced knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms, including Pardot, Hubspot, and Sharp Spring.
  • Must be both technical and marketing minded with a strong understanding of the latest trends in digital channels and integrated marketing.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Ability to work and collaborate within a small agency environment where you roll up your sleeves and both develop strategies and execute campaigns.  
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in creatively devising and leading multi-channel marketing campaigns that engage, educate, and motivate.
  • 2+ years digital marketing experience, developing and executing online campaigns, including email, social media, digital advertising, blog content, and more.
  • Experience working in hotel marketing is a huge plus, but not required.
